Crosstown Community Center serves the community by producing community programs within a cafe environment. We host programs for parents and youth, art and music series, community service projects, and fundraising for other non-profit. We are the accumulation of time and talents from the community.

Our goal was to build a place where the community of Alameda can engage in programs and services that encourage artistic creativity, that build connections with the neighborhood, and that engage cultural experience at a deeper level in a safe family-friendly atmosphere. We promote education and the arts in addition to other local community groups. We envision Crosstown to be a space for the community, built by the community. We have partnered with over 200 volunteers from the community of Alameda in the refurbishing of an historic building that fell into disrepair after the closure of the infamous 19th Hole Bar. Our neighbors, excited to see a coffeehouse and community center transform this corner, donated a generous amount of time and donations that made Crosstown a reality. We owe you, the community, a big thank you for your contributions and continued support.

We are structured to serve the community through hosting programs for parents and youth, art and music series, community service projects, and fundraising for other non-profits. Working to open our doors since 2004, has enabled us to partner with various churches and organizations in philanthropic endeavors. We have networked with organizations including the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Katrina Relief through Habitat for Humanity, Celebrate Recovery Rehabilitation Program, Alameda Collaborative for Children Youth & Families (ACCYF), and Alameda Civic Light Opera.
